Chapter 1, Part 4: Rising

-Rules-
1. Don't make any other threads. If you want to post in the Storyline please post in the available thread.
2. No Virus Busting posts/threads. All Battles in the Storyline are straight RP. Meaning HP won't be a factor here, however your ATK, SPD, and RPD do still make impressions.
3. Play along with the Storyline. Since I'm not you I don't know what you'll be posting and vice versa.
4. Don't make sudden encounters, i.e. Don't do this. "The suddenly a V.A.P.I.D. virus appeared and deleted my navi!"
5. All story based things will be kept in the respective board from now on.
6. Try to enjoy yourself with the Storyline, it'll be intense at some parts, but later it'll all work out soon.
7. Please post at least 2 or more sentences. Things like: Yeah. Cool. Whatever. Are not sentences. Try to be descriptive if you can.
8. All Rules in the Rules Board, apply here as well.

NOTE: Use only yours and only your BattleChips, don't use a chip that's: 1) One you don't even have. 2) A BattleChip that you just suddenly made up.

He was lying there bleeding, and a puddle of the red liquid surrounded his hand. He was resting, he was far from dying, and just peacefully relaxing against the wall. Night was silent, and was handling in coming e-mails from the secretaries asking, "Is he okay?? Please reply!" It was a barrage of e-mails from them and Night didn't answer any of them.

Birds were singing outside, and all is swell after that riot..

[Ace]

OOC: Now I can post. Hmm. It's been a day though, so I have no idea what my post is gonna be now. Back to the planning board.

[Van]

As the navis appeared in the arena the operators exchanged eager looks.

"Navis ready?" the referee navi yelled. "Yes." the navis replied.

"Operators ready?" the referee navi shouted. "Yes." they replied.

"Three," The navis were lined up in postion, ready for battle.

"Two," Trance and Mesmero were having a classic stare down in the arena, as were Van and Luso.

"One!"

[Ace]

Gnar launched into an attack at Fiona. "Dreamsword!" Two reactangular sphere type objext came out of his arms, each sporting a sharp green blade. They each had half of the Dreamsword's power. He blocked an attack from Blues, while jumping and spinning rapidly. The whirlwind caught Blues easily, because he was right below him. He was flung into the air, where Gnar followed at rapid speed. He slashed and Blues blocked, but while Focusing strength to his left, he slashed at his right, into Blues. 'Bluesdata.EXE, logging out.' said a voice.

[Van]

Van looked over to Lyn with a questioning look. She simply nodded back to him. Van sighed and said, "Hasty Chris. Too hasty. Do it, S2."

Trance and Fiona said together, "Tag team strategy, Blades in the Mist!" King man was suddenly surrounded by clones of Trance and Fiona, along with slight smoke cover. King man droped pawns on two clones and called a knight to slash two more, but they were all fake. The real Fiona charged and slashed straight though Kingman with her sythe. "Kingmandata.exe logout." a voice said. "Now it's just us." Trance said. He was in a concentrating postion while Fiona and her clones were just standing there, smirking.

Fiona had spent alot of time training to perfect her clones, and it paid off. Her clones were so realistic that they were exactly the same as the navi, even their aura. Computer systems and even the best equipment could be fooled by them. The downside is that the clones were intangable and could attack.

Back in the action, Saph fired Cold Sapphire at Gnar, hitting him in the leg. Before he could pull it out his arms were already encased in saphire, and his head followed after. Trance finally opened his eyes, but they were glowing bright blue.

[Ace]

Gnar appeared behind Trance by a few meters. He would let Mesmero take care of him. He was in his Libra Form, his clone disappearing. He used the still remaining swords to create a sword of fan which blew the mist away, as well as the clones. Trance and Fiona fell back out of the wind's way. "Gnar, fade!" Gnar faded into the ground, And projected an Aura around him. He began charging. (Wait time: 1 post from anyone.)

[Van]

OOC: Uh, Gnar was encased in Cold Sapphire, which stuns you for two turns. So how did he get out?

"Two can play at that game." Fiona said smirking. She began spinning her sythe at high speeds. Papers began flying around and then seemingly disappeared. "Shinobi's Shadow." Lyn said as Fiona also disappeared.

Trance was now in Toushin Mode, with several blade extending from him. He turned to Mesmero, who hade been at a stand still for some reason. "Whats wrong? Heh, come on. You and me." Trance taunted, waiting for a reaction from Mesmero.

[Luso]

Mesmero activated his Gemini constellation form. It should give him an advantage when fighting Trance.

The two Mesmeros began charging for speed. (Charge) Double speed. 30 encase you were wondering.

Luso loaded some chips. "Barrier battle chip download!"

Two barriers encased both Mesmeros. They both threw some Magnet bombs at Trance. (Undodgeable) You know, magnet.

[Van]

OOC: Just noting, Fiona is invisible right now.

Trance quickly deflected the shuriken back at Mesmero with his Blue Saber, as the other just hit the ground. "Where are you aiming man? And a Gemini eh? It may be useful against Regular me, but not Toushin Mode. Here, I'll show you. High Sword!" Trance rose both hands in the air and summoned an extremely large blade in the air. He brought it down and slashed though both Mesmeros, knocking them backwards.

The two Mesmeros quickly got back on their feet and charged at Trance. "Battlechip, Freezing Torrent, Slot In." Trance made a large torrent wide enough to swallow both Mesmeros, or at least stall them. "Execute the next step." Van ordered Trance. "Roger. Swift Step." Trance raised his right foot up and proceeded to stomp it down, disappearing at high speed before his foot touched the ground.

As the torrent washed away it seemed like the two Mesmeros were the only navis there. They just stood there, looking around for a trace of someone somewhere.

[Luso]

Luso grinned. "Healing Helix, Elec sword, battle chips in Download!"

The two Mesmero's drew identical Elec swords. The Healing Helix healed them to full strength, as well as their allies.

But first they threw some magnet bombs. The Bombs homed in on an unsuspecting Trance and Fiona. As they both deflected with a High Sword, their invis wore off, and both the Mesmeros attacked with their elec swords. Their speed matched Fiona and Trance's easily, considering their Charge Speed Boost. Fiona and Trance backed up for a bit and then nodded to each other. Then the Two Mesmeros used Super Conducter and made an indestructible coat of metal on themselves. Blades in the Mist activated and the shuriken bounced harmlessly off the Mesmero duo. The duo turned to Gnar.

"A little..."
"help here?"

[Van]

OOC: Blades in the mist is just a strategy, not an attack.

As Gnar rose from the ground to meet Mesmero Fiona shifted her attention to him. She quickly made clones and surrounded Gnar. There was a spark at the ground where Gnar had risen, and a second later an explosion to knock Gnar up, preventing him from fading. She snaped and several other explosions occurred around Mesmero. Gnar used a barrier chip but Fiona leaped into the air and slashed though it with her scythe. Gnar slashed though what he though was the real Fiona but it was just a fake. Before he could guess again he felt a sharp pain in his back.

The real Fiona had thrown a round of kunai at Gnar from below. As Gnar fell to the ground the kunai were jammed farther into his back. Before he could even get up he was encased in Cold Sapphire, Saph had shot a piece at Gnar along with Fiona's kunai. Fiona just looked over at the frozen Gnar from a distance, smiling.

The explosions Fiona made had created a large smoke cover around the Mesmero team, concealing Trance. "Battlechips, Slot In." Van said as he smirked at the confused Luso. Mesmero noticed a bit of a clearing in the smoke and assumed it was Trance. He slashed at it with his Elec Sword only to find a Ratton exploding on him. Trance followed up with a Rocket fired at the Mesmero that was hit with the Ratton. He landed behind the other Mesmero and hit him with a Blade Barrage, knocking him several feet forwards.

"Hope you realize your strategy isn't working." Trance was smirking as the smoke cleared.

"There is a key difference between us Luso," Van began as he quickly looked up. "You're a tactician, a tactic is a certain move, or several moves. I'm a strategist, a strategy is a series of tactics, more complex, and more efficient might I add." Luso was glaring at Van while he just stood there smiling with his eyes closed for a moment. He soon reopened his eyes and put his mind back on the match.

[Kyn Azleos Roya]

"And You two are both complete fools," Zyrois appeared in the arena, next to the ref, smirking.

he leaned back a bit, waiting for someone to retaliate, but the ref cut in, "hey, you can't-" he didn't make it much farther in the sentence, as he found his neck in Zyrois' hand, "You shut it. Understand," The ref soon met the wall, face first.

"I'm just watching, pay no attention to me."

[Luso]

Luso's glare was soon replaced with a smirk.

"Efficiency is nothing in the hands of an ameteur. A seasoned veteran with a stick would easily defeat a rookie with the finest blade money could buy. I really don't conisder you my equal in strategizing, or deploying tactics. Now. Zyrois, Blackgem, Sandstorm in download."

Zyrois and Blackgem appeared at Mesmero's side. The duo of Mesmero's deployed another set of magnet bombs. Zyrois stayed close behind one bomb, Blackgem the other. Zyrois cut Trance after the bomb made its mark with his trademark Swordplay attack. Blackgem went over to Gnar and began to guard against Fiona's attacks after the bomb made its mark on her. After dispatching the clones, he hit her hard with a Black Knife attack.

[Ace]

OOC: The frozen Gnar from before was one of his Libra Form's Clones, so he was elsewhere.

Gnar appeared behind Fiona, still in Libra Form, his frozen Clone destroyed. When Blackgem his Fiona with Black Knife, he stabbed through her back with the full Dreamsword on one hand. "I don't lose that easily. Hiding in the mist is cowardice, coming out directly is stupid. Having strategy, a plan, is what you need. Van may have that, but so do I." Gnar said. He then launched his charged Death Orb at Fiona, lying on the ground. "By the way, I took the liberty of using the Wind to destroy all your clones." Fiona.EXE, logging out. Gnar looked over at Mesmero, and wondered if he needed help. Chris looked over at the frustrated Lyn and smirked. "Happy? You two can have your fight now." Gnar ported over, several yards away from Zyrois, to watch the battle. He didn't care if he was attacked by Zyrois anymore. He was the same as him...On his own side. He had his own rules, and he would follow them.

[Kyn Azleos Roya]

"Hello, Gnar," Zyrois muttered, barely looking over at him, "Using my navi chip like that, interesting. Or is it amusing?"

Zyrois' appearance began to change. The once brown cloak changed into a black cape, and his sweater vanished, the T-shirt under turned black, same with his pants, The shoes showed no changes. His hair changed from long, to short, styled up, with a strand hanging over each eye, "Hmph, about time. The new design is nicer than the old one, in my opinion. Now then, What was it I wanted to say?"

Gnar barely looked over as Zyrois began thinking, "I have to admit. Even on the same side, they can't help but fight. It will be interesting if Thomas' plan pays off," He shifted his attention to the battle, "It doesn't matter who is who, the only person to merit is the one who pulls the strings. James used to say that. He was a truly good man. 'Tis a shame what happened to him. In this fight, I wonder who pulls the strings, and who is the one leading himself to the corner," his mind was not on the battle as he asked the question.

Thomas was half listening as he worked, still away for another day, he had sent Zyrois out to take care of the two still on the academy. He smirked, "You two can be whatever you want, but I am still on top. The chess master will always win over the lower ranks," bits of code flashed in front of his eyes, as he searched for something he needed. After a few moments, he had found it, "The limiter. Perfect."

He left to pack as Zyrois smirked. James' theory was that a navi could truly never be as powerful as a virus, because of the coding. A virus could bypass a code, the one that Thomas looked for, but a Navi couldn't. James' life was devoted to human-Navi interface, and Navi studies, well, when he was alive. He had named this code, the Limiter, and spent some of his life trying to pass it, but to no avail. It's been one year, and I still chase after the old man's wishes. I may be the chess master, but I am not even the one on top. How fittingly Ironic. Thomas had done some more research, and found a way around it. He would save it for his next plan. If he could find a way to convert it into a chip. His last three attempts had sent the chip into the wall after being slotted in. His fourth was a rework. Which had come with the new design. This will be the first success to hold to my name, though most likely hidden like my father's work. He changed the world, or could have, but was shut out, then killed. I may suffer the same fate, but I have some people to keep it moving, unlike my father. Should I die, it will still be passed on to others, as well as all James accomplished.

(OOC: Could no one copy this until at least after I execute my plan. I a sick of people ripping me off and mirroring me.)
